Looking for your next go-to writer?
One who’s easy to work with, a meticulous researcher and always meets her deadlines? Do you need a writer who turns edits around quickly and has an endless supply of interesting story ideas and angles? Are you tired of reading lame pitches from writers who have obviously never even looked at your publication?
You’re in the right place.
Be it a complex B2B concept or a gut-wrenching personal story, I convey information in a way that is honest, relatable and easy to understand. My background in hard news reporting gave me a journalistic foundation built on ethics and solid newswriting—but magazine writing allows my creative side to shine as well. I work with consumer and custom publications to inform, educate and entertain their readers.
Before going freelance in 2013, I was a digital editor at Denver’s acclaimed 5280: The Denver Magazine, where I specialized in writing for the web and engaging our audience of nearly 50,000 Facebook fans and 75,000 Twitter followers on social media. I specialize in travel, food/wine/agriculture and environmental reporting. In 2014, I was awarded my first fellowship, from the Association of Opinion Journalists.
My educational background is in television and radio broadcasting, and one day I want to make documentary films. In the meantime, I can offer video and other multimedia content to my outlets in addition to writing.
My editorial clients include Fodor’s Travel Intelligence, 5280 Magazine, Colorado Life, Modern Farmer, Sunset, Travelmag.com, Nebraska Life, Greater Wilmington Business Journal, MicroShiner, Bespoke Concierge, AAA EnCompass, Rove, Epic Life, snow.com and Alpine Modern.
So, why should you hire me? Because my three favorite words are “make it happen.” Editors know they can depend on me to provide clean, well-written copy on deadline—period.
